Welcome to the BASICS of Hypothermia – an International Approach. This conference was delivered in February 2021 and saw experts from around the world gather with the aim of increasing our awareness of hypothermia in the pre-hospital environment and share in best practices for the assessment, treatment and management of the condition. Our over all aim for the conference was:
Evidence shows that individuals suffering from hypothermia can have a positive outcome when they are identified and managed appropriately. How can we turn the anecdotes into predictable and co-ordinated pathways from pre-hospital response to rewarming and offer the best chance of survival to this group? Speakers from around the world come together to share best practice and look at accidental pre-hospital hypothermia and how we can improve patient outcomes.
