The basis on which you are entitled to access the Website/teaching materials is set out below. The term ‘BASICS Scotland’ or ‘us’ or ‘we’ refers to the owner of the website whose registered office is Sandpiper House, Aberuthven Enterprise Park, Main Rd, Aberuthven, PH3 1EL. Our company registration number is SC226924. The term ‘you’ refers to the user or viewer of our website.
The term “Website” refers to www.basics-scotland.org.uk as a whole. This includes the Virtual Learning Environment (“VLE”). The VLE is otherwise known as “BESTT”. Other services including tele-education may be subject to further stipulations.
Unless otherwise indicated, the website/teaching materials and its contents, plus other teaching materials are the property of BASICS Scotland. BASICS Scotland maintains the website/teaching materials for purposes that include learning and teaching. You may be granted access to certain parts of the website and you may make use of the available learning and teaching material for private study that constitutes as non-commercial use. Without prior approval, copying, distributing or use of the materials contained on the website for any commercial purpose is not permitted.
Any copyright in the material contained on the website belongs to the copyright holders. Scots law and international trademark law protect any trademarks.
Access and use of the website/teaching materials by you constitutes your acceptance of these Terms and Conditions of Use set out in this statement, and will take effect from your first use.

No failure or delay by BASICS Scotland to enforce any right against you shall operate as a waiver of such right or preclude its further exercise at any time.
These Terms and Conditions of Use are governed by and interpreted in accordance with the Laws of Scotland and the Scottish Courts shall have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute in connection herewith.
If a court having competent jurisdiction finds any of these terms illegal or unenforceable, the invalidity of that pro the website will not affect the validity, legality, and enforceability of the remaining terms.
