3 BASICS Doctors (Drs Alex Colinson, Alan Copland & John Ferris) attended a serious RTC on the A92 in Fife on Monday.

Working with the Scottish Ambulance Service (including BASICS paramedic Andy Walker) they treated a critically injured patient trapped in a car providing analgesia, sedation and chest surgery. With the Tayside Trauma Team present, the patient was anaesthetised and flown to Ninewells Hospital by Helimed.

The patient received seamless care with amazing teamwork between all emergency services. We wish him a speedy recovery.
