BASICS Scotland Responder App – Latest update

Originally posted: 17/12/2014

As a follow up to the sneak peek we posted in November we thought it was time we gave you all an update on how things are progressing.

The Beta testing of the app is now coming to an end and we have had some fantastic feedback and suggestions which has delayed the launch in a very good way as we have decided to expand on the features and content for initial launch.

The app will now include Resuscitation Council (UK) Algorithms, the latest NASMeD Triage Sieve and last but by no means the least, we have included a hospital contacts database which contains emergency contact numbers and GPS mapping where the app will be able to tell you what hospitals are near to you. Below are some sample screen shots from the latest update.

All of this information will be stored on your device so no matter where you are (no data signal required) you will be able to access it.

We are now finalising a launch date for the app which is going to be around the end of January / beginning of February 2015. We will let you know as soon as a date has been set and provide details of where to find the web page to apply for your very own copy.
