BASICS Scotland Team takes on 165ft abseil for The Sandpiper Trust

On October 21st, a team from BASICS Scotland including Kirsty Laird, Chelsee Henderson and Graeme Ramage will be taking on the Forth Rail Bridge and abseiling the 165ft drop (we have calculated that this will be 33 times the height of Chelsee!!).

All money raised will be going to the worthwhile cause of The Sandpiper Trust, a charity dedicated to providing rural doctors, nurses and paramedics with the appropriate emergency medical equipment, helping to save lives in remote and rural Scotland.

As a thank you to The Sandpiper Trust for their support over the last 10 years, we hope to raise as much funds as possible for such a worthwhile cause and in order to do this, we need your support!!

To get the girls and Graeme over the edge, we would be grateful for any donations. To pledge your support and donate, please click here and select “BASICS Scotland Abseil Team”.

After much persuasion, we have managed to talk Dr Laird into participating in the abseil, however he has named his price!!!

We need to reach a target of £2,000 before he will be prepared to jump!

If we reach over £2,000, he will be jumping in a Batman costume!!

Please help us to ensure this “once in a lifetime” opportunity to witness Dr Laird dressed as Batman happens!!!
