Scottish Emergency Medicine Clinical Conference

The Royal College of Emergency Medicine is running their Scottish EM Clinical Conference on 2 May at the Royal College of Physicians of Edinburgh.

This conference will explore the outer frontiers of acute care in pre-hospital and emergency departments settings. The day will cover the latest treatments as well as thought-provoking managerial talks.

Sessions include:

  • Traumatic brain injury, from roadside to rehab with Professor Mark Wilson, Consultant Neurosurgeon and Pre-Hospital Care Specialist, Imperial College London
  • Resuscitative ECMO in Scotland with Dr Mark Dunn, Consultant in ICU, Pre-Hospital and Retrieval Medicine, NHS Lothian and ScotSTAR EMRS
  • Acute ischaemic stroke – removing the clot with Professor Martin Dennis, Professor of Stroke Medicine, University of Edinburgh
