We were deeply saddened and shocked to learn of the sudden death of Dr Mark Bloch on Saturday, 18th October.
Mark has been a Director on the Executive Board at BASICS Scotland since 2009, a longstanding Instructor on courses and a very active BASICS Scotland Responder. He played a pivotal role in the formation of the Grampian Immediate Care Scheme. He was one of the first Doctors in Scotland to gain the Fellowship in Immediate Medical Care of The Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh. His contribution to the development of pre hospital care in Scotland will be sadly missed.
Our deepest condolences go to his family at this difficult time.
We will update with details of his funeral when they are known to us.
