What made you want to get involved with the work of BASICS Scotland?

I love working for a charity that has a wide-ranging impact across Scotland.

BASICS is a great place to work the Team is really committed to supporting Scotland’s health professionals and in turn, helps the people of Scotland.

What advice would you have to other girls/women who want to work in the volunteer responder field?

Go for it BASICS Scotland is a great Charity to be involved with, everyone so welcoming, supportive and keen to share their experience and knowledge.

What is your best memory from BASICS Scotland?

I’m new to BASICS, however, the first thing that resonated with me is that everyone I deal with from the Board, Employees, Instructors and all the Medical Professional that I deal with are so willing to go the extra mile for what BASICS Stands for.

What’s the best bit about your role with BASICS Scotland?

No two days are the same, there is always lots going on and we are always looking for new ways to get our message across.

What’s your favourite thing about your typical day?

Speaking to people from all walks of lives and professions.

What do you love about your job?

When I see the training I organise for a Medical Professional impact a member of the public via our Responders or Professionals in Scotland.

The variety of tasks that I get involved with.

Organisation, Communication Skills and Spreadsheets

A most challenging bit about your role with BASICS Scotland?

At the moment COVID – my role in organising our Face to Face Courses has been massively impacted.
