BASICS Scotland applies a cancellation policy to every course. The policy is included on each Course Application Form. The policy found on the Course Application Form is as follows:
- Full refund given if cancelled 4 weeks prior to course
- Cancellations received between 5 and 15 working days before the event are subject to a cancellation fee of 50% of the delegate rate, if BASICS Scotland are unable to fill the place, plus an additional £25 administration fee and the return of the pre-course materials.
- If a cancellation is received within five working days of the event, or the participant fails to attend, the full event fee is payable
Some venues may insist any cancellations are paid in full but we do try to negotiate reductions wherever we can.
With regard to the pre-course material that is sent out 4-6 weeks before the course, this can either be returned to BASICS Scotland, or the candidate must pay the full price of the manual plus the postage and packing incurred. Pre-course materials costs vary from course to course.
