Pre Hospital Emergency Care Course (PHECC)

Course Summary

The material covered and assessed is based on the RCSEd, material from the "Generic Core Material" manual from the Faculty of Pre-Hospital Care.

BASICS Scotland have approval from the Faculty Training and Standards Board to now use formative, continuous assessment for the PHEC Course meaning no final summative exam. The assessment method has been tested and validated by Dundee University and is now being used for all BASICS Scotland PHEC Courses following a successful pilot in March 2016.

The course is open to doctors, nurses and paramedics who work or have an interest in working in the pre-hospital field. The PHEC Course is facilitated over two and a half days full days with candidates taking away a log-book of targeted feedback on their knowledge skills and perfomance of Pre-hospital Emergency Care.
