Responders

In addition to providing training courses we recruit, set up and support emergency responders throughout remote and rural Scotland.

All of our responders are highly skilled experienced health care professionals who usually work in the emergency services, critical care, emergency departments or general medicine.  These responders log on with the Scottish Ambulance Service and are then tasked to relevant incidents in their locality.

BASICS Scotland Responders are rural doctors, nurses and paramedics who have usually received additional training through BASICS Scotland. Each of our Responders is provided with equipment including a Sandpiper Bag and access to a defibrillator.

Please get in touch by emailing responders@basics-scotland.org.uk if you would like to find out more.
